Andrew Kensley writes essays and features for Fort Collins Magazine, and has written cover features and Q&As, as well as features on wellness and healthcare for Mind+Body Magazine. He contributes articles to University of Colorado Health Insider North, Colorado's largest health system's online newsletter. "Seeking Blue," his first novel, was published in 2014, and his short fiction has appeared in the Owen Wister Review.
His parenting column, Wee Wisdom, appeared on Sundays from 2009 to 2013 in the Fort Collins Coloradoan, for which he has also contributed travel content and features. His travel essays have also been featured in the family travel website, Momaboard.com.
When he's not writing, reading, husband-ing, parenting or otherwise enjoying himself in the beautiful Colorado outdoors, Andrew works as a physical therapist, a career which he has thoroughly enjoyed since 1996, helping people regain their mobility, confidence, and functional abilities. A native of Montreal, Canada, and a lover of travel, he now resides in Fort Collins, Colorado, with his supportive and loving wife and daughters.
Andrew also speaks French, Spanish and Hebrew, has performed half a dozen times at open mike comedy nights (not that well, but still...) and is happiest—he knows this sounds strange, living in Colorado—at the beach.
